Our food philosophy is rooted in sustainability and community: much of what we serve comes straight from our own market garden and food forest, while the rest is sourced from trusted local partners. Depending on the season, you may enjoy cherries, plums, figs, apples, blackberries, and more.

Breakfast at Starbase18 is designed to nourish, enjoy and unwind. It is a moment of connection with nature, with local traditions, and with the flavors that make our region so special. Every morning, we prepare a breakfast that brings together simplicity, freshness, and quality. Bread comes directly from the local baker, and/or we bake it ourselves, filling the space with the comforting aroma of a warm loaf straight out of the oven. Accompanying it, you’ll find a selection of homemade jams, seasonal fruits, and local products that reflect what is available here and now. No two mornings are exactly the same , each season gifts us something different to enjoy.
Our own market garden and food forest provide a growing share of what ends up on your breakfast table. Strawberries, cherries and plums in early summer, figs and blackberries in late summer, apples in autumn, kiwi in winter, each fruit comes at its peak, bursting with natural sweetness. When the harvest is abundant, we turn it into juices, compotes, and preserves that let us extend the season’s bounty into the colder months.
What we cannot grow ourselves, we source locally. Cheese, honey, and other specialties come from nearby producers who share our values of sustainability and authenticity. This way, every bite not only tastes good but also supports our community and helps keep local traditions alive. By choosing local and organic whenever possible, we reduce our environmental footprint while ensuring freshness and flavor.
We also believe breakfast should be enjoyed at a gentle pace. Whether you prefer to start your day with a strong coffee, a pot of tea, or a glass of juice, we invite you to take the time to sit, taste, and enjoy.
